this is the TINY glass (or at least clear) ball that goes into the final point where the liquid expresso exits the machine. it is very small, about 1/16th in. in diameter. service and shipping was excellent, easy, quick. it would help if Cerini would add the actual dimensions of the ball to their site. I believe it says "1 inch", which is misleading and had me wondering if I would receive the correct one (which I did).
I replaced this as part of a thorough cleaning of a Gaggia machine. replacing it seems to have helped produce more/better crema.
BE VERY CAREFUL HANDLING THESE LITTLE BALLS, they roll away very easily and may be impossible or difficult to find after they roll across your kitchen or bar.
