The Cremina is a classic lever-operated espresso machine; no ifs, no buts. It works with the proven pre-infusion piston system: lifting the lever draws a small amount of water into the piston chamber and forces it into the pressed ground coffee, allowing it to expand. Lowering the lever forces the hot water through the ground coffee. This tried and tested extraction procedure, coupled with the continually increasing experience of the individual Cremina owner, guarantees a perfect espresso, a composition of crema, smell, and taste—a harmonious pleasure for the senses. Even your ears will be delighted: the only noise produced by your Cremina is the singing when the boiler heats the water.

so happy i took the plunge & purchased this machine! solid design, large water reservoir, easy to navigate, pulls shots well, steams milk well, all around great espresso machine. i cannot say enough wonderful things, especially after owning another less user friendly lever machine. additionally, cerini allowed me to try the cremina out in their store, which helped tremendously.

Coming from 8-9 years on a big double boiler it is so nice to have my counter space back!
Having tired of failing electronics I wanted to go old school, analog. I wanted an exceptionally good tool and was willing to take the time to get a feeling for the tool and the interaction with the coffee. 10 days in really good shots are the norm and I can feel great shots on the horizon.
If you want to tightly control temp and pressure, or to flip a switch for good shots, this machine is not right for you. If you are like me and have tired of applying formulas in you life and wish to master technique and craft in your daily rituals, baby this is the machine for you!

I was moving from a double boiler, which was more automated and lasted 12 years before and electrical short caused it to no longer work .
I wanted pre-infusion and a long lasting machine that made great espresso. I already had a very capable grinder, so the choice of machine was the only factor. Some of the newer machines looked good initially, but with my limited knowledge of electrical components, were not the best fit for me in the coming years.
My wife wanted a smaller footprint on the counter, so replacing what I had was not an option.
I consulted with Cerini (Johnny) about the best machine to fit my needs. He listened and provided what I think was the best machine for me.
Shipping was very fast and tracking point to point was readily available.
There is a learning curve and the steps to get excellent espresso is different from my previous machine. The initial logic was to grind finer, but flawed. Grinding coarser and less coffee in the portafilter are getting me there.
I am getting better every day, and my neighbors are also enjoying good coffee drinks.
A great match for me for my espresso habit.

After 2 automatic espresso makers that each lasted about 5 years and cost a grand each we decided go for the best. It takes a little experimentation but we will get better with a little time. The Machine is as sturdy as can be . I bet this machine with a little care can last 50 + years!
