So, nothing here is "bad." There's just nothing to recommend, either. Borsari does a pretty decent job with the aromatics of panettone, but their texture isn't quite right--a little too cakey, instead of feathery, which makes it go a bit gummy as you chew. That flaw is amplified by these "crema" injected panettoni--with the extra moisture bogging it down, the texture leans hard into cake. The crema doesn't taste indulgently creamy or buttery, nor is there any tartness to the lemon flavor to balance the sweetness, or give the flavor any lift. There is nothing objectionable (no off flavors, not stale, not artificial), there's just nothing here worth the calories and price.
