Saeco Ventilate Message no water flow not making coffee
When you have a ventilate message on Saeco or Gaggia Super-Automatics there are a few things to consider.
- Grind size:
- If your coffee is too fine the pump will not be able to pump through it, and it will cause ventilate messages.
- Fix: Increase your coffee grind-size. Be sure to make 3-4 cups before considering the coffee grind.
- Brew unit needs to be cleaned and serviced:
- Soak the brew unit in soap and water for about an hour.
- Dry and Lubricate the brew unit.
- Put everything back and try the machine again.
- Dry and Lubricate the brew unit.
- Soak the brew unit in soap and water for about an hour.
- Descaling
- If you haven't been descaling you should try to descale at this point.
- If you have been descaling, I would try again just in case it is a descaling issue.
- Descaling should be done every 2-3 months.
