Caffe Motta - La Cremotta - E.S.E Pods Machine Orange - 120 VOLT

I purchased the La Cremotta to replace my wife’s Nespresso machine. She loves her Nespresso, but the La Cremotta is built like a real espresso machine instead of a plastic toy. The all metal build, glass water tank, sturdy lever mechanism all point to the quality build of the La Cremotta. Being made in Italy instead of China is apparent in the build, also Caffe Motta makes excellent pods. The pods are 100% compostable, the foil packaging is easily recyclable. I enjoyed the Caffe Motta pods as an Americano, at at 3/2 ratio, espresso to water. The La Cremotta easily replaces the Nespresso machine, and fills in when I don’t have time to run manual shots through my Gaggia Classic. I recommend the La Cremotta for both quality and enjoyment of use.

After a recent trip to Sicily, I was looking for an espresso paper pod machine. They’re comparatively rare in the US so was glad to find this, which was the same make and a similar model to one I used in several of my stays. Super easy to use, and love the manual switch to determine length of the pull. Notes: you’ll need small/short espresso cups, as the height from the tray to the spout is low. The included sample coffee pods are excellent, and work better with this machine than Illy brand pods. (I’ve read the Illy pods are more tightly packed, which reduces throughput and tastes more bitter).
