    Delicious, bitter, and creamy

I start by saying I'm not a coffee afficionado. Tea is my usual drink. Where coffee is concerned, for enjoyment, I stick to Turkish/Greek coffee (provided soneone else is making it) or espresso. Otherwise, drinking coffee is pretty much a medicinal for me, just to keep going when I'm flagging. I share this because I want to give some context both to my praise for this coffee and to excuse my ignorance of what might be more usual terminology or considerations among the true coffee-lovers. Short answer: this coffee is really delicious and I don't think you can go wrong with it. If you want my more detailed thoughts, read on.

I use a Jura A1 espresso machine, almost always on the stronger espresso setting (it has three style settings: ristretto, espresso, and coffee, and two strength settings: 3 bean or 1 bean - stronger/weaker, I suppose). So my review is of this coffee using this machine and setting.

In general, I prefer a somewhat bitter coffee and this delivers. That said, it maintains a nice mildness that allows other flavors to come through. It's not at all oily and the flavor is consistent throughout - no unpleasant aftertaste. The creaminess balances the bitterness for a robust mouth feel and a cleanness of flavor that I find enjoyable and allows the complexity of the bean's flavor to shine through without distracting elements.

Both the beans and the brewed coffee have a delightful aroma.

I usually just drink it black. But I like it best when I toss in a little bit…
