Born in 1974
The Maximatic is the perfect partner for all those who are looking for a little more luxury. The electric, semi-automatic espresso machine with vibration isolated pump is so handy and small that it almost fits on an A4-sized piece of paper. This has been made possible thanks to the individual production of all components, ranging from the vibration isolated pump to the boiler and thus making the Maximatic the smallest espresso machine with a dual circuit heating system in the world. It is so straightforward and easy to handle that it can be used at home as well as in offices, studios, doctors’ surgeries and galleries. Since 1974, the Maximatic has followed the tradition of a classic commercial machine, and can more than match its role model from the catering trade. Here, too, its owner experiences the maximum espresso taste, day by day!
Olympia Maximatic comes in Red, White, and Black.

The Maximatic has two water tanks: a fresh water tank and a boiler. The fresh water tank holds 2.64 pints and can be refilled while operating. the water is lead from this tank through the boiler. During the process, it is heated to 212°F, so that when it reaches the brew group, it has a temperature of 198°F – the ideal brewing temperature for espresso. - AGAdele G.I recommend this productRated 5 stars1 year agoAt first we couldn’t get
At first we couldn’t get good crema-it seemed elusive and sporadic. As we became familiar with this machine we had many epiphanies and now can have perfect crema always! I learned more about coffees-I always bought arabica but found a little robusta in the blend makes for better crema and taste.
It is a beautiful machine and fun to use. I will never have to go espresso machine shopping again! Was this helpful?
- DDustinI recommend this productRated 5 stars1 year agoThis machine is extremely consistent
This machine is extremely consistent and built with the finest materials. To me it feels much closer to laboratory grade equipment than a kitchen tool...the weight, the stainless steel, the perfectly fit seams and mirror polish make this the delight of my morning routine. The careful engineering makes preparing great espresso easy, especially when paired with the Olympia grinder. Thanks to Johnny for his advice and guidance; this is going to be my main machine for years to come. Was this helpful?

- FFrogprinceI recommend this productRated 5 stars4 years agoThis is a sweet little
This is a sweet little machine that has a small footprint on the kitchen counter. I've owned three of these over the last 30 years (and I would still have all of them, but one was stolen). There is almost no learning curve on this machine. It's very user-friendly once you get the grind right. It's a lot of money, true, but you'll have it forever. Also, Johnny Cerini is a really knowledgeable, nice and trustworthy guy so don't worry for a moment about making this high-dollar online purchase. Was this helpful?
- NNedI recommend this productRated 5 stars5 years agoWhen we were married 30
When we were married 30 years ago we purchased an Olympia Cremina hand pump machine. While it's been a faithful workhorse, we've been eyeing this machine for some time - namely for its ability to make endless coffees without needing to stop, cool down and refill the tank. It's an easy machine to learn and has been a beautiful addition to our countertop. Was this helpful?
