Steam was gushing from my group head. The work around was to blow all the steam out of the wand before brewing. But the FIX is to replace this thermostat. I also replaced the steam thermostat, which is a higher temp rating. That alone did not fix the gushing steam. So if you have steam gushing out at the beginning of your brew then replacing the boiler stat might fix your problem.
